Do a half century all within Carlsbad. It is a hilly town, and you can always bail out by heading down to the coast highway and back to the start.
5/24/2010 - It has been a while since I wrote this route, and I don't much care for it anymore. These roads are arterials that have become very busy the past 5 years, and I now prefer some of the side streets. I will leave this route out here, but I recommend route 615 for a Carlsbad half century ride starting from Magee Park.
